For those who believe in the word, the Gospel will always take priority. This is particularly true when you’re going through a tough time and find yourself all alone. Turn to His word to find solace, whether you choose to do so by going for service, listening to a sermon on the radio, or even following up with a devotional podcast. There is something you can always take away from the word to deal with the circumstances you’re going through.
When others are facing a crisis
Meet the immediate need first
When someone is going through a crisis, always try to provide the necessary help at the time. Let’s say a person’s house is on fire, you’re not going to stand there and pray for them. Instead, you will help put out the fire. While this is quite an extreme example, what it basically means is that in times of a crisis, be a source of comfort and help.
Help them find hope through scriptures
There are many parables, miracles, and words of Jesus, the Apostles, and Prophets in the Bible that can help a person get through a bad time. Apply a storyline of the scripture to their current scenario in a way that makes them feel hopeful and positive.
Be humble and caring
When a person is going through a rough time in their life, they don’t care for the knowledge you possess. They require care at that time in their life, so make sure you express empathy and humility to help them feel better.
